OK. So I actually gained weight during Week 1 of the Weight Loss Challenge. This is bad news bears, but when I think back to what I ate over the past week I guess its not too surprising. I’ve eaten a pizza (like…a whole pizza) at least twice, drank wwaaaaayyy too much beer on Thursday, and ate a whole box of Mrs. Field’s cookies this past weekend. What was I thinking?!?!

I was going to try to be extra good today, because tomorrow is the start of week 2 in The Weight Loss Challenge.Anyways it all started off pretty well and then my friend Ian asked if I wanted to run some errands with him downtown. We ended up stopping in at Craft Burgers at Yonge/Bloor for a SUPER DELICIOUS cheeseburger with fries and onion rings….

They were soooo good I didn’t even regret the transgression, and by dinner time I figured I could save the day by having a small dinner of veggie stir fry with chicken and brown rice. YAY.

Mrs. Fields, I hate you.
About 20 minutes later things took a turn for the worse as I got a major craving while watching Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle on IFC. By the time they finally made it to White Castle (which I’ve never been to, but it looks disgusting) I had a pile of shame lying on the floor beside the couch. SHAAAAME:

Sweet baby golden Jesus – I have no idea when I became morbidly obese, but…there it is! I can’t wait to see this number go down (199 will be the perfect weight for the beaches of brazil), and i ESPECIALLY can’t wait to kick the bouck’s ASS. You’re goin’ DOOoooown woman.

Earlier this week Mir challenged me to a weight-loss challenge starting tomorrow and ending February 9th. I seem to have agreed to update my reader (Mir) with a weigh-in update each Monday for the rest of the month. Winner takes all (we don’t know what the prize is yet… I suggested that the weight loss iteself would be a prize, but Mir seems skeptical).
My action plan involves planning what I’m going to eat the next day, and going to the gym as much as possible.
My meal plan for tomorrow: Breakfast - three egg whites, Lunch – Salad (or turkey chili, depending if we stay in for lunch or go out), and Dinner – Chicken/veggie stir fry. Snacks - almonds, olives, mandarin orange.

Some resolutions for 2009.
1. Deny that I have any resolutions. This way friends/co-workers don’t need to know when i’m quitting.
2. Lose 10 lbs. Haaaaaa….
3. Take a language class. I’m thinking Japanese, or Portuguese.
4. Have people over more often. This way I can justify the expense of my new couch and the rest of the things I want to buy in Jan.
5. Take an MBA class. Because I need a new job
6. Sign up for Salsa class. Another class….I know, I know.
7. Travel. Brazil?
8. Run. 10k
